The Joint Human Concerns Committee needs your help. Human Concerns will be sponsoring Souper Bowl Sunday on Super Bowl Sunday, February 4, 2007. We are asking for student participation to make this a success. You will stand at the back of church before and after Mass with pans and baskets to collect items to make soup and/or cash. The soup items will be given to the House of Peace Emergency Food Pantry, The cash collected will be given to the House of Peace Youth Ministry Program. The House of Peace is a Milwaukee Organization that is part of our twinning relationship with St. Francis of Assisi Parish. The House of Peace is based upon Gospel values. Since 1938 they have served thousands of families, adults, and children. The House of Peace leads the community in providing food for the hungry, clothing for the poor, comfort for the afflicted, and support for the down-trodden. The teen program has provided scholarship to at risk youth, and encourages youth to address violence and racism by transforming a generation one person at a time in peace (House of Peace). This will be a fun activity and you will have a chance to make a difference in may peoples lives. Please call 262-284-6472 for more information.
