As the situation in the Holy Land has been worsening in the past few years, Christians in the Holy Land have been the single most affected sector by the war. In particular, the Catholic population in Bethlehem and Jerusalem has suffered harsh consequences forcing large numbers of families to flee their historic homeland. The number of Christians has thus dropped to alarming level, threatening the very presence of the Church in the Land where the church first originated.

You’re invited to attend a very special and moving Way of the Cross sponsored by a sub-committee of the St. Peter’s Worship Committee on Friday evening, March 30th at 7:00 p.m. This is not the usual Stations of the Cross that you are familiar with. This series of stations was written to reflect the heartfelt and tender feelings through the eyes of Jesus’ mother. Participants are asked to walk to each station, as Mary walked, and share her thoughts as they touch your heart and soul. (Those who would prefer to remain in their seats are welcome to do so).
